The De Wetshof tasting room is a replica of the Koopmans-De Wet House of 1791, and the cellar is modelled on the First Customs House in Cape Town; both originals go back to Louis Michel Thibault. De Wetshof was the first registered wine estate in the Robertson Valley and calls itself the "House of Chardonnay". The de Wet family has been at the Cape since 1694. Today Johann de Wet as CEO and Peter de Wet run the estate together with their father Danie.
