Grande Provence is one of the larger estates where the Franschhoek Wine Tram picks up its guests by farm vehicle; the ride to the tasting room takes 10 to 20 minutes. Three lines stop here: Red, Blue and Pink. Groups of fewer than twelve do not need to book a tasting, and it is open Monday to Sunday (as of September 2026). You can choose tastings from the Angels Tears range, Premium, Flagship and one with nougat.

The story begins in 1694 with the Huguenot Pierre Joubert. Count Riccardo Agusta bought the estate in 1991, and since 2004 it has belonged to a consortium of Dutch and Belgian investors. The Oak restaurant serves fine dining, and there is also a bistro, a gallery and, from September to April, picnics. You can stay in the Owners Cottage or the Vineyard Suites.
