Klaas Jonker founded Weltevrede in 1912, about four and a half kilometres west of Bonnievale as the crow flies. In 1969 Lourens Jonker inherited 65 hectares and bought the neighbouring Muscadel farm; in 1996 he was named National Farmer of the Year. Today Philip Jonker runs the estate in the fourth generation. The focus is Chardonnay and Cap Classique.

You get to know both underground: the "Captivated by Chardonnay" tour takes an hour, and there is also "Captivated by Cap Classique" and the "Create Cap Classique" course.
